The Proud Italian – 200 Harley Street

City Of London At Night

Glamour, intensity, desire—the lives and loves of London’s hottest team of surgeons!

Book #3 of the wonderful Harley Street series is The Proud Italian, and is written by Alison Roberts.  Here’s the blurb from her gut-wrenching story.

With pride and with passion…!

Top-notch surgeons Rafael and Abbie de Luca were once the Hunter Clinic’s “dream team.” But the joyous birth of their little daughter, Ella, brought the devastating news that she was suffering from a life-threatening condition, and their idyllic life came crashing down.

Now, three months after her heartbreaking decision to ignore Rafael’s wishes and try an experimental treatment for their daughter, Abbie has returned with a recovering Ella. As she’s reunited with her proud Italian husband it’s clear that their time apart has changed them…but can they rekindle their once bright and burning passion?

Alison helped me figure something out with my story.  I had a few continuity points for my book that needed to be handled with care.  I couldn’t quite put my finger on the right level of tension between the brothers Leo and Ethan Hunter, the heirs apparent for Hunter Clinic.  When I posted the scene for input in our authors’ loop, Alison came back with a suggestion.  One word made all the difference for me.  Simmering.  Alison said the tension and anger always present with Leo and Ethan simmered beneath the surface between them. Bingo!  Got it.  Yahtzee!  She nailed it for me.  Put it right into perspective, and I rushed to re-write the scene.paperback with Lynne

I am proud to share the 2-in-1 with Alison Roberts (we were book roomies for book 7 & 8 in last year’s NYC Angels series, too) and wanted to show off the UK book cover with you.

So that’s it for now.  In a couple of weeks I’ll post my gorgeous book cover and give more behind the scenes information about how this series came to print.

Until then, make it a great one!
