Harley Street Author Boiler Room:
It’s no secret that Kate Hardy is madly in love with Antonio Banderas, so when the bible for her book – The Soldier Prince – used his picture as a reference for her hero, she squealed and we all cheered for her. I have to say, hands down, hers is the most beautiful cover in this entire series. My opinion.
Kate was also a wealth of information for me when writing my story. The funniest question I asked was – Do they have Rice Krispies and marshmallows in the UK. (I needed it for a bonding scene between Grace and Mia, Mitchell’s daughter) She shot back with this:
Yes, we have Rice Krispies and Cheerios 🙂 Also cornflakes (generally Kellogg’s are the nicest though all the supermarkets do their own brand cheaper ones). (And I *love* Grape Nuts – I think they’re a US brand?)
And marshmallows in a bag, too – they’re pink and white here, and you can get big ones (normal sized, about 3/4 inch across) or mini ones (like the size of a fingernail, for serving with hot chocolate).
Then she shared this picture. Yum!
See what I mean about our super helpful lot of Harley Street Continuity authors?
Though Kate’s US e-book is available as pre-order right now (follow link on book cover above), she and Annie Claydon share the 2-in-1 print book – available in stores in UK on June 1st. Here’s the cover!
Later this month, I share more boiler room secrets along with Annie’s Book #6.
Until next time, make it a great one!
